Capt. Gene Quigley
Capt. Gene is a USCG licensed Captain. Raised on the Jersey Shore, Gene has been fishing the inshore & offshore waters for over 40 years. He specializes in catching trophy Striped Bass and Tuna on top water lures, jigs and fly tackle and runs our 36 Yellowfin and 41 Valhalla. Gene is a noted author, seminar speaker and has been featured on many TV shows. He was voted Saltwater Sportsman Magazine's "Top 50 Captains worldwide" and one of Field & Stream Magazines "Top 100 Guides in North America". Gene serves on the board of directors for the American Saltwater Guides Association and sits on the national pro staff for many of the fishing industries top brands.
Capt. jim Freda
Capt Jim is a USCG licensed Captain and has been fishing the inshore and offshore waters of the Jersey Shore for over 40 years targeting striped bass, bluefish, false albacore, bluefin, yellowfin, and mahi. Jim runs our 28 Parker Sport Cabin and is on the National Elite Pro Staff for St. Croix Rods and many other national brands. Jim is a highly respected author, seminar speaker, and photographer. Jim has been featured as one of the “Stars of the Show” at the Saltwater Sportsman National Seminar Series, the Fly Fishing Show, World Fishing and Outdoor Expo, the Saltwater Expo, the Philadelphia Fishing Show, and the Canyon Runner seminar series. His book, “Fishing the New Jersey Coast”, is a best seller on the market today and has received the “New Jersey Center for the Book Award” as one of the most notable NJ books.
capt David goldman
Captain David is a USCG Master Captain. He's was raised on our east coast waters and has fished them since childhood. His Dad, Barry, was a well known and sought after charterboat captain as well and the two of them spent countless hours and days honing their craft. Captain David runs his Contender Fisharound out of the Highlands, NJ in the spring targeting striped bass and moves to Point Pleasant Beach, NJ in the summer for pelagics such as mahi, bluefin, and yellowfin tuna.
Capt. Jerry Malanga
Capt. Jerry began fishing at a young age with his father and grandfather, who had a tremendous impact on his love for fishing and the ocean. Growing up in a waterman family, Jerry has spent his entire life “in and on” the waters of the Jersey Shore fishing, surfing, and diving alongside his siblings Dean and Diana. With over 20 years’ experience he has become a highly respected angler for all of our inshore and offshore species both on spin and fly tackle, and is excited to share those experiences and the exceptional fishery we have to offer.
Capt. Jerry with be co-running our 36 Yellowfin “Reel Freedom” as well as his new 25 Open Contender “Eastbound”.
Capt. Tommy Freda
Capt. Thomas is a USCG master Captain. He grew up fishing the inshore and offshore waters of New Jersey with his father Capt. Jim. Growing up with a Capt. as a father, Capt. Thomas has aquired a wealth of knowledge giving him twelve plus years of experience on the water. With this experience, he has become a very respected angler for our inshore and offshore fisheries and has fished the canyons from Cape Cod to the Bahamas. Capt. Thomas is on the pro staff for St. Croix Rods and many other companies. Capt. Thomas will be co-running the 28 Parker Sport Cabin for inshore and offshore trips.
Shell e. Caris
Shell E. Caris is a legendary surf fisherman from New Jersey with over 60 years of surf fishing experience targeting striped bass. He leads all aspects of our "land based" guiding that encompasses the surf, jetties, back bays, flats and coastal rivers. Shell is on the St Croix Rod Pro Staff and part of the Shore Catch Guide Service team. He’s been part of the “On the Water TV’ series with surf fishing shows on striped bass and bluefish. Shell E. has also written numerous articles on surf fishing and co-authored “Saltwater Fishing: A Tactile Approach”.
