Offshore Fishing Charters

TUNA, DOLPHIN, AND MARLIN! The Captains of Shore Catch have spent the greater part of their lives chasing pelagic species like tuna, dolphin and marlin and have put hundreds of anglers on their “first” offshore game fish on the fly.

During the last ten seasons we have taken our clients to new levels of saltwater fly fishing, searching the offshore “deep blue” waters for some of some of the largest and most powerful creatures in the sea. Nothing can match the feeling of a 100 pound “locomotion” TUNA ripping line off your fly reel at lightning speed. Whether it is in the World class Northeast Canyons, the offshore lumps of Cape May, NJ or fifteen miles off the coast of Manasquan during the famed fall Bluefin Tuna blitzes, we guarantee this will be a trip you will never forget.

On all of our offshore TUNA trips you will be supplied with the industries best bluewater fly and conventional tackle from St Croix, Crowder, Cape Fear, Sage, Tibor Reels, Billy Pate Reels and Avet Conventional Reels. The offshore fly rods are from 12 to 19 weight outfits and are sure to tame the most explosive fish in the sea. Our larger center console fleet is the perfect platform for flyrodding big game species like tuna and marlin. These boats offer a 360 degree’s casting and fly fishing access that allows you to enjoy plenty of room when the fight gets tough!

Mudhole Pelagics Charter

From June to November the waters known as the Mudhole are teaming with small to medium sized Bluefin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Bonito, Albacore, and a wide range of sharks.

Early in the season, during the months of June and July we target “School” Bluefin and Skipjack Tuna’s by casting flies and jigs to massive schools of topwater feeding fish. For the non fly enthusiasts, trolling a wide spread of topwater lures and baits will undoubtedly put a smile on your face once four to six rods go off at once!

During the summer and early fall months when the warm core eddies spin into our area, Dolphin and Bonito become the main targets. Imagine a “lit up” three to four foot blue and green mahi mahi tracking your fly or lure in the crystal clear blue waters. This is aerial fishing at its best while visual takes just below the waters surface turn into heart pounding leaps of truly breathtaking proportions.

During the fall months of September, October and November join us for the superb bluefin tuna migration in the famed Mudhole, just fifteen miles outside of Manasquan Inlet. This is prime time to tackle thirty to sixty pound bluefin tuna on fly or light tackle as chumming live baits behind the boat can easily produce 20 to 30 fish days all while watching these magnificent creatures crash two feet behind the anchored boat.
